A fully managed service, start to finish
You never have to touch a camera. We handle every step:
- Free site survey. We plan camera positions, check the 4G signal and prepare the safety paperwork.
- Safe installation. Our engineers install every camera under a safe system of work, with task-specific RAMS.
- The right camera. 6K cameras as standard, producing 4K time-lapse footage, with 8K and 12K cameras for large sites and long-range views. Cameras run on mains or solar power and send images over built-in 4G.
- Progress you can see. Your online portal shows a time-stamped image every few minutes and the full archive, with monthly clips during the build.
- Finished films. At handover you get edited films for reporting and marketing, plus six months’ free portal access.
We also offer SiteStream live-streamed HD video, drone filming, corporate filming and BIM 360 integration. See how our construction time-lapse service works.
From the Treasury to today
Our first time-lapse was the refurbishment of HM Treasury at 1 Horse Guards Road, London, around 2000. Site Eye was set up in 2002 to do one thing well: long-term, fully managed filming of construction.
Since then we have filmed The Shard, the London 2012 Olympics, Crossrail, Thameslink, King’s Cross Station, One Hyde Park and Battersea Power Station. Today our cameras run on mains or solar power with built-in 4G, and SiteStream adds live HD video. In July 2026 Site Eye joined the Survey Solutions Group.

Who we work with
We film for contractors, developers and infrastructure owners, including Kier, Mace, Lendlease, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail, Sir Robert McAlpine, Quintain and London Luton Airport. Some projects run for years: at Wembley Park we have filmed for more than a decade.
“Very responsive & flexible, providing a service we keep coming back to.”Paul Hallam, Sir Robert McAlpine

Our team
Our team includes professional photographers, film-makers, engineers and software developers. We build our own camera systems and software, so we can adapt them to a site rather than make the site fit the camera.
We work from offices in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and Brighton, and our engineers are in London every weekday.
Accreditations, safety and data
- Constructionline Gold member.
- CSCS cards for all site staff, and fully insured.
- Trained for height and live sites: our engineers hold SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA, NEBOSH, IOSH and rescue training, among others.
- RAMS for every installation, after a free site survey. See our health and safety approach.
- Secure images: access is by secure login over an encrypted connection, and cameras store images on site if the connection drops, so nothing is missed. See data security.
