How much does time-lapse filming cost for my construction project?
Every project is different, so pricing depends on the number of cameras, the length of the project, and how the footage will be used. We offer a free, no-obligation site survey to assess access, power and signal on site, and from that we put together a tailored quote. What’s your process from enquiry to installation?
We keep it simple:

- We agree a quote and installation date.
- Our engineers install the camera system and confirm it’s live and recording.
- You get login access to your secure online portal to view and download footage throughout the project.
- At project completion, we produce your final edited time-lapse video.
Do your cameras need mains power, or can they run independently?
Both — our systems are flexible. We can power cameras from mains electricity, solar panels, or battery packs, depending on what’s available on site. Data is transmitted over 4G, so an internet connection isn’t needed on site either, making our systems suitable for even the most remote or off-grid locations.
Can I access my time-lapse footage remotely while the project is running?
Yes. Every client gets access to our secure online portal, where you can view and download images and footage in real time, 24/7, from any device. This is especially useful for progress reporting, client updates, and monitoring site activity without needing to visit in person.
What resolution do your time-lapse cameras record in?
Our camera systems capture footage from 4K up to ultra-high 12K resolution, depending on the package you choose. This means your final video holds up on large screens and in marketing material, and still images pulled from the footage stay sharp even when used for presentations or press.
How do I get my finished time-lapse video once the project is complete?
Once filming wraps up, our editing team compiles your footage into a professionally edited time-lapse video, complete with any titles, branding or music you’d like included. We deliver this digitally, and it’s also available to download at any time through your portal, alongside all the raw stills captured during the project.
Can I use my time-lapse footage for marketing and social media?
Absolutely — many of our clients do exactly that. Your time-lapse footage is yours to use across your website, social media, case studies, award submissions and investor or client presentations. It’s a powerful way to show the scale and progress of your project without needing a separate film crew.
Do you cover projects outside of my local area?

What does “time-lapse” actually mean?
Time-lapse is a filming technique where images are captured at set intervals — anywhere from every few seconds to once an hour — and then played back at normal video speed. This compresses hours, days or months of activity into a short video, making it ideal for showing the progress of a construction project from groundworks through to completion.
What’s the difference between time-lapse and hyperlapse?
Time-lapse uses a fixed camera in one position, capturing the same view over a long period — perfect for tracking construction progress over weeks or months. Hyperlapse, by contrast, involves moving the camera between shots (for example, walking or driving through a route) to create a smooth, moving time-lapse effect. Site-Eye specialises in long-term, fixed-position time-lapse for construction and infrastructure projects, which is what makes our systems suited to project monitoring rather than short promotional clips.
