PORTAL – UNLIMITED ACCESS WORLDWIDE

YOUR PROJECT IN LIVE, BEAUTIFUL, HIGH RESOLUTION

As part of our service we provide you with a link to your project-based webpage containing all images from every camera on your project as well as time-lapse and other project related imagery.

Each image contains a time and date stamp so that you will always know the exact moment the photo was taken. This also allows you to easily go back to any point in your project’s history to see how things are progressing. The website is easy to navigate and contains a complete archive of all images recorded by our cameras so that you always have an easy portal to keep track of your project.

Our bespoke system combines the latest DSLR cameras with a unique computer back-end, allowing us to record every project in 4K, 8K or higher resolution. These images are delivered from the cameras to our servers from anywhere in the world.

With SiteStream cameras added to the system, you receive the added benefit of HD video clips of your project alongside the stills. Your entire project can be recorded as HD video, accessed and searched through your portal.

SITE MONITORING AND IMAGE ARCHIVING

ACCESSIBLE AND IMMEDIATE
IMAGE SHARING

Site Monitoring
As part of our service our cameras produce a timestamped ‘monitor’ image which is sent to our servers immediately after the camera takes a shot. The process of the camera taking the image to arriving on our servers takes just a couple of minutes via 3G, or seconds with a fixed ADSL line.

The image arrives at a reduced resolution to save time and provide an immediate update while the high resolution image is sent separately. We make this image available via a web link which will always point to the latest image received.

For our cameras with a streaming option we will also provide a web link to view the live stream in a browser.

High Resolution Image Archive
We provide a secure web portal for all our projects which includes a high resolution archive of every image taken by our cameras. These images are available to view and download at full resolution, the archive keeps detailed information on when the image was taken and makes browsing to a particular point in time easy.

There are other tools available within the image archive, such as a batch download tool which allows all images in a time period to be downloaded as a single, well organised zip file. There is also our ‘Progress Over Time’ tool which automatically generates a basic time-lapse video of the project so far.

DATA REDUNDANCY

ENSURING IMAGES REMAIN SAFE

With Site-Eye you can be confident that nobody else can access your images and films:

  • All access to the images is via a secure login over an encrypted connection
  • All API use requires a whitelisted address and an authenticated connection
  • On-Site Servers are in locked rooms with access only granted to essential staff

Our camera systems can store images for weeks or more at a time in the event that there is a comms breakdown between the camera system and our servers. The camera will continue taking images even in a comms blackout, this ensures we don’t miss a vital part of the project.

The camera system transmits the image to a cloud based distribution system. This provides another layer of data security as the server is independent of our own servers and will remain unaffected in the event of an issue with our systems. The cloud service we use has achieved 100% up-time over the last few years.

Our cloud based distribution system transmits the images to our own servers in two separate geographical locations in the UK.

Our image storage servers use RAID technology to ensure your images are safe even in the event of a hard drive failure.

Each image storage server has an identical hardware clone stored in a separate location which is updated every night. In the case of a total server failure, we can switch to the clone with minimal disruption.

After a period of time all our images are duplicated and moved to cold storage in a separate location to our offices.
